While our focus is mainly speciality coffee, we do offer a select few light snacks.
Sorcery is the practice of conjuring something beautiful using nature as the only source. Applying part science, part magic, to craft the ideal roast. The ultimate brew.
Inspired by the endangered West -African Vodun [vodu] culture in design; by the ancient neolithic craft of processing grains by grinding them with stones, ferment ing them over decades to bake sourdough flatbreads dating back as far as 350 BCE; and perhaps the core from which Sorcery Coffee Roasters was built.
A tiny coffee bean with a heritage that can be traced to the 9th Century to wild-grown forests in a place called Kaffa Abyssinia, now one of the most traded commodities on earth.
“A SPIRITUAL SYSTEM INFUSING EVERYTHING FROM MEDICINE AND AGRICULTURE TO COSMOLOGY AND ARTS.”
We strive to keep our coffee offerings new and exciting and work closely with importers to find special coffees coming in each season.
The space was designed with a fusion of modern and ancient in mind.
The shop has become a gallery of sorts, a trove of treasures from our travels. Authentic artefacts gathered and sourced over 5 years from countries rich in culture, India, Indonesia, China, Congo, Rwanda and Ethiopia to name a few.
We bring our design elements of modern and the ancient, through to our vision for coffee roasting and baking. Always with appreciation and respect for the history in the ancient objects and methods, but ever-evolving to meet the current needs of the world we live in.
