The Lalesa Washing Station in Gedeb is owned and run by Ephtah and is the largest drying and washing site in the region with over 400 African beds and 900 contributing farmers who grow heirloom varietals at 2150masl organically.
Cherries for this lot were floated for density and placed on raised beds for another day to ripen further. They were then pulped and dried with mucilage intact on drying beds for 18-20 days. After drying, the beans were hulled and prepped for export.
